Benefits & Characteristics of FFKM O-rings and Seals
Perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) is a synthetic rubber with higher amounts of fluorine than the standard FKM. This higher fluorine concentration gives FFKM the great high temperature and chemical resistance you need.
In fact, FFKM has a high temperature rating of up to 620° F and nearly universal chemical compatibility including highly corrosive fluids and hydrocarbons. Additionally, FFKM withstands environments where oxygen-plasma are present for many hours and has a generally long service life. This combination of high-performance capabilities makes FFKM seals and O-rings the best choice for challenging applications.

Kalrez®
Kalrez® is a DuPont trademark. It is resistant to over 1,800 different harsh chemicals while offering the high temperature stability of Teflon™. Temperature range for these compounds is usually -4°F to 615°F.
Chemraz®
Chemraz® is the Green Tweed version of Kalrez®. It is also a member of the perfluoroelastomer polymer family Simriz®. Chemraz® can handle high heat and is chemical and solvent resistance. Its defining properties are exceptional resistance to steam and performance in low-temperature environments, as well as availability.
Simriz®
Simriz® is typically a lower cost alternative to both Kalrez® and Chemraz®. This compound does well in aggressive environments like dry process chemistries and reactive plasmas. Simriz® has excellent heat resistance, great low temperature performance and amine resistance.
